Martha Tadesse

Martha Tadesse is a freelance humanitarian photographer from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She channels her passion and skill to narrate compelling stories of social justice and human rights through her lens. Her extensive travels across Ethiopia and Somalia have allowed her to document impactful development projects for various local and international NGOs such as UNICEF and IRC.

Martha is a recipient of The East African Photography Award 2019 organized by Uganda Press Photo. She also writes human interest stories on different development issues. Here are samples she wrote on FGM and child marriage for UNICEF Ethiopia.
